The O.C. - A 3 Day Obsession

scarletamethystFriday: Discover O.C. fanfiction while browsing around for Harry Potter fanfics. Decided to focus on Ryan-centric fics because he had a crappy childhood--dad and brother in jail, mom a drunk with endless abusive boyfriends-- voila!........angst possibilities everywhere! Combed through ff.net, read a bunch of gen fics with Ryan being ill or injured......oh happy day.
Saturday:Realized ff.net has a limited number of well-written fics, thus must resort to rec sites like crack_van to appease O.C. craving. Went through memories for all O.C. recs and discovered Ryan/Seth slash............though personally prefer Seth/Ryan, but ah well. Ryan still vulnerable and hot either way. Decided maybe should actually watch an ep of the O.C. for visualization's sake.
Sunday: Obtained first 6 eps of O.C. Skimmed through first few, Ryan is smiling too much.......where is the broodiness and shyness!! Fanfiction has misled me, drat it. Realized that initial distaste for the show was because Ryan looks really weird whenever he squints or has eyes half-lidded.......makes his eyes look like wrinkly croissants. Finished searching through O.C. recs on crack_van, discovered many nice fics on lj....rediscovered the joy of Lex/Clark for an hour. Unable to find any more decent O.C. fics without actively searching randomly, thus O.C. obsession is over. Going back to Harry Potter now, he's younger and cuter in fic than Ryan is. Plus, Draco is cute too. ^_^
